Dented-Rick

For the last year, give or take a month, I have focused primarily on building Warhammer 40K themed projects.  The main source of my Patterns is Eli Patoroch, But I have a few from SSE2009, and Dart Rabbit.  These guys are awesome with their creativity.  Lately though, I have begun to wonder if this is my niche.  A Fantasy Tank maker.  Aside from a few projects, all of which were easy builds, everything Ive built for the last year has been Warhammer 40K.  I find the patterns, SHrink them even further, and build even smaller versions of them.  that's been the routine. 

Dont get me wrong, I vastly enjoy doing this, which is why I continue.  How many people can say they have an Army of Tanks on their shelves, ready to take on the Paper Armies of the world?   I just wonder if im getting myself typecast, so to speak.

Doesnt really matter, i suppose, Ill continue building Tanks, with an occasional something-or-other.

At my age, I have learned a few thing about what makes us tick.  I've learned that making myself focus on something, and forcing myself to be patient helps me BE a Patient and focused person.  Just over a year ago, I "discovered" papercraft.  Granted, I've know about it, but not really KNOWN about it.  My prior experiences were in things like making a paper airplane as a kid, making spitwad balls and shooting them through a straw, etc, etc.  All vague forms of papercraft.

It wasn't until I was looking for a good picture of an Armored Core mech 2 years ago, that I accidentally came across the REAL world of Papercraft.....and I was hooked.  Since then I have developed my skills, patience, and focus.  I still have a ways to go, but im getting there (I hope)

Also, Papercraft is what keeps me sane during the hours that my son is in school, and my Wife is deployed.  And now he is showing interest in this little Venture, and I for one will do everythin to encourage it.
